Food for Thought is filled with personalized verses just for you. It’s been written to help you claim God’s Word as your own. The thoughts included within the verses are from fellow dieters. Food for Thought is not meant to be a substitute for actual Scripture, but an addition, bringing you new insight, perspective, hope and encouragement as you move toward and reach your weight-loss goal. Blank pages have been placed in the back so that you can add additional Scripture and/or words of encouragement. Recite these verses and include them when you pray. Then watch as God’s Word rejuvenates and empowers you. Experience your faith increasing, as faith comes by hearing, reading, speaking, and living the Word of God.

This unique flip-book offers a thorough compilation of topics and corresponding Bible verses which address several life situations/emotions/thought patterns. I especially appreciate the author’s reminder in the introduction, “Food for Thought is not meant to be a substitute for actual Scripture, but an addition. . .”
The various topics are presented in an alphabetical format which helps the reader to easily find the topic they seek. It is also nice that several translations and paraphrases of the Bible are utilized in addition to the author’s parenthetical thoughts and personalization. It is important that the reader have a basic familiarity with the Bible in order to know the difference between the Holy Word and human words, though.
This is a handy resource that could be applicable to any life situation, not just dieting or weight loss per se. It is the figurative “food” for changing one’s possibly negative or defeatist thoughts to more positive, encouraging, confident, uplifting, and inspired thought patterns
I reviewed only the e-version and I think the flip-book would be easier to access and likely a very helpful resource to keep and gift.
