OMG – SO many books sit on my shelves and Kindle carousel! I feel the wealth and comfort these words provide. SO many wonderful words and I want to read them all! Is there truly time enough? I can only hope!
Some days I find myself fondly remembering the fave authors of my youth: Dashiel Hammet, Agatha Christie, Lillian Hellman, Kurt Vonnegut, Soren Kierkegaard, Richard Bach, Hemingway and so many more.
Currently I’m dedicating my reading energies to current authors and I’m blogging about them via reviews and author interviews. What a fun way to share authors with readers and meet so many great writers myself! These writers inspire my love of words and my own meager attempts at writing! It is such an honor and privilege for me to be asked to read and review!
As a reader for more than five decades I’ve gathered, given away, regathered, borrowed, shelved, shared and hoarded thousands of books. I’ve also had a respectable collection of magazines and other periodicals.
Multiple lifetime moves (including an international move six years ago) have necessitated limiting the number of book boxes I can in good conscience haul around. But the addiction prevails and I find myself again buying, borrowing, carrying, gathering, trading, hoarding both e-books and print books. I just cannot help myself – really, it is an addiction from which I seek no cure! I’m again awash in reading material – so many words, so little time!!
